Description
It is a revelation to stand there and to sense the effect of this incredibly blue color. What/where it is? The cloister of an orthodox church on the Greek isle of Lesvos.
Thanks for enjoying with me :)

Brooks, it is a big pleasure for me to read how intuitively you sense the essence of this image. Colors can have such a big impact on our well being! Unfortunately a lot of this knowledge has been forgotten in our culture. Same thing with playful architectural components. Many new buildings are just boring grey boxes ... But, I do not have to tell you this, since your artworks are a wonderful manifest against this colorless minimalistic style. Thanks so much for your supporting comment! - Andreas

Jane, I always enjoy reading your remarkably thoughtful comments. Thank you so much for this one! The mystical aspect of the orthodox church has always fascinated me. Whereas this aspect has often something very deep, but also heavy and dark, the guys here achieved it to promote the sunny side of their natural environment. And that's something very fascinating for me: Mystics combined with lightness ... There are still many new things to discover on the spiritual side of life ... :-) Best wishes, Andreas

The blues, aquas & golds are so vibrant & beautiful, Andreas! I imagine you stood there 'under the blue' for a little while longer than just to take this wonderful shot. Very soothing & calming and, yet, energizing at the same time. F/v.

Andreas,I feel the "revelation" just sitting here experiencing that brilliant cerulean blue, enhanced to perfection by the orange paintwork and warm granite pillars. In fact, my first thought was that this was something you invented, that it could not be a "real" place! My goodness, those monks or priests must be mystics AND artists! They have brought the sea to their doorstep, and you have brought us a taste of this blissful experience of Lesvos. Thank you ! v/f
